Henge is a short game created for a 24 hour game jam at the University of Bolton. It won first place in the solo category for the game jam. All concepts, assets and gameplay programming (with the exception of Unreal default skybox and terrain material) were created by me within a 24 hour period from the 9th - 10th November 2018.
The theme was ‘folklore’ and I chose to make a game surrounding the creation of Stonehenge. You play as a rock wizard tasked with building Stonehenge as accurately as possible. The player can pick up and drop rocks, as well as rotate them in any direction and move them closer or further away. The rocks are affected by physics so the player must take care when balancing rocks and try to avoid knocking over already placed rocks. When the player is satisfied with their work they can submit their build and it will be graded with a percentage score according to how close it is to the guide.
Henge was created using Unreal Engine 4, Maya, Photoshop, Illustrator and Substance Designer.
